Engagement policy

Cancellations and refunds

Refund, cancellation and rescheduling terms for System Compiler Grid mortgage affordability audit engagements.

Effective 15 August 2026

Before work starts

You may cancel in writing before review work begins. Any fee already paid will be refunded in full, less a separately disclosed non-recoverable bank charge where lawful. Refund requests should be emailed to info@systemcompilergrid.digital with the engagement reference.

After work starts

Once documents have been examined or calculations prepared, completed time is non-refundable. If you cancel part-way, we provide an itemised account and refund any balance above completed work and approved third-party cost. A deposit is not automatically forfeited; it is applied to work actually performed and commitments made.

No refund is available merely because a lender declines an application, offers a lower amount or changes its rate. Our service is the independent review described in the scope, not a guaranteed lending result.

Rescheduling and missing information

Calls may be moved without charge with at least one business day’s notice. A missed appointment without notice may be charged at R450 if a practitioner reserved the time. One replacement appointment is offered. Delivery pauses while required information is outstanding.

If you do not supply requested material within 30 days, we will ask whether to close or rescope the file. Work already completed remains chargeable. Purchased specialist work is refundable only to the extent the associate has not begun or incurred a cost.

Our cancellation and quality concerns

If we cannot complete the agreed service, we refund the unperformed portion. If a material error in our delivered calculation is reported within 14 days, we first correct and reissue it promptly. Where correction cannot provide the contracted service, an appropriate partial or full refund is considered.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, normally within 7–10 business days after confirmation. Statutory rights under South African law are not limited by this policy.
